    Use Vista style sidebar

I am considering upgrading to Windows 7 (x64) in the near future. I have downloaded the free trial and have run into several problems. Most I have found a workaround for. One of these is the sidebar. In Windows Vista the sidebar can be displayed above open windows by pressing "ÿ + Space" (see attached picture). However in Windows 7 the gadgets are glued to the desktop. I cannot see them without minimizing all open windows. I want to have the option to have them on top on command. For example I am streaming an online movie and want to monitor my bandwidth, or rendering video and want to monitor CPU usage. How can I enable to old style sidebar?

    Hello Conner,

This should be able to help you get it back.

This should work. However I a question. Do I do this to the folder in Program Files or Program Files (x86) or both? I am running Vista x32 but I have the x64 media.

I would only do this in the Program Files folder as in the tutorial to see how that works. No need to do it in both. :)
