    Clock gadget time stops!

In the last 2 weeks, my desktop clock gadget time just stops at certain points in the day.
The clock in the notification area is always fine. At the moment, it tells me it's 17:11 (which is correct), but the clock is stuck on 14:21!
    Any ideas?

Oh well, it's a pity this got moved here as there seems to be very few answers around. Still, the situation has got a bit more weird. The calendar is freezing now. It's showing yesterday's date.

Which gadget you are talking about? Windows 7 native clock gadget or a third party gadget?

Found this: Sidebar clock works intermitantly

it is for Vista Clock gadget but as far as I know Seven uses the same gadget so the solution offered might work.

Thanks Kari, I saw that one myself. It didn't help. CMD reports are all OK.

I'll suggest the same things I just suggested in another post. Try a few things for the gadget problem(s). Try turning the Windows Gadget Platform off, reboot, then turn it back on:

Windows Features - Turn On or Off

If no help, try the System File Checker

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Note you will have to repatch your system after if using 3rd party theme.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I had already tried those ideas. No luck.
