    neon gauges _ beautiful gadgets

Hi, I find the neon gauges absolutely beautiful.
In the widget preferences you have extensive options for them to be customized.
Only condition for these gadgets to run is that you install Yahoo! Widgets application first. Don't really understand why you can't just add them to your usual Windows gadgets folder.

On the left hand side of my desktop you can see ...

    01. the CPU load
    02. RAM usage
    03. Swap usage
    04. remaining space of drive c:
    05. remaining space on drive d:
    06. download speed
    07. upload speed

And on the right hand side you can see ...

    08. CPU load core 1
    09. CPU load core 2
    10. CPU load core 3
    11. CPU load core 4
    12. Volume

In addition to that available are ...

    13. WiFi strength
    14. Folder space usage
    15. Battery level

    16. The neon (digital) clock is a seperate beautiful gadget

I don't know why volume doesn't seem to work.
When I change the system volume, the gadget always stays the same.

    Any ideas please ?

That's because they're not Windows sidebar gadgets, they're Yahoo widgets.

    Two different things.

Ahh lol, yeah that much I figured.

Apple Dashboard Widgets = W3C HTML standards
    Google Desktop Gadgets = non-standard
    Windows Gadgets = standard
    Yahoo Widgets = non-standard

    source

Wish there was a converter existing, but apparently you cannot convert Yahoo Wigets to Windows Gadgets.

I have a few suggestions for complementing the NEON GAUGES.

    1. Temperatures for each CPU core and the GPU as well.

    2. A radio gadget where the bars could represent 10 radio stations the user could assign to and select from.

    3. A unique clock where each of the 10 bars represent 2.4 hours, or optional 24 bars where each bar represents 1 hour.

    4. Two times 10 bars for stereo peak level indicators when music is playing in the background (or any other sound).

    5. Difficult to implement weather forcast, but how about 10 bars just showing the level of airpressure from low to high? Low usually indicates bad weather and high the opposite. I know, that might not be as good, but still ...

    6. 10 bars as instant links, where a bar only lights up, if a link has been assigned to it. The idea behind this is that URLs can always be easily changed within seconds for people who want to track certain websites only for a short period of time.

Ok, now I only need to learn how to program gadgets only joking, but what do you think about the ideas?

I found the following comment at the download page:

After I have upgraded to win 7 x64 (from XP x32) ... the volume meter shows always 100%.
Trying to run this gadget in compatibility mode by right clicking the icon and selecting properties, it doesn't give me the option. Hmmm, strange ...
