    GPU Meter 1.1 (sidebar gadget) causes system lock up


    I just wanted to throw a warning out there to everyone that the GPU Meter 1.1 (AddGadget.com) gadget can cause your system to hard lock moments after logging in.

    Version 1.0 did not seem to do this but the update seems to trigger a quick failure in the communication with the video driver leading to hard lock.

    Anyway, I use a majority of the gadgets from Addgadget.com and like them all but this one is flawed severely. I have reported the bug to them so hopefully all will be right with the world soon.

    I use some of their gadgets as well. (Network, Drives) Don't use their GPU one though.

    In the meantime, you might consider orbmu2k's GPU gadget. The "GPU Observer" is one I use from him, and his "Intel Core Series" CPU one. It's been pretty good for me.

I am using the set of gadgets from addgadget.com and all of them work except the cpu meter gadget. It does not give me any display adapters to choose in the drop down list however it can detect that I am using an ati card. Anyone else know anything about this gadget?
