| | A google search comes up with this Mail Preview Gadget. I haven't tried it but give it whirl and maybe post back and let us know if it works. |

| | Have a look at PopTray Mail Notifier. It's old but works with Windows 7, you may need to use an add-on for Hotmail though should work natively for POP3 |
