Windows 7 - The clock stays showing all the time, while ...

Windows 7. The digital clock shows all the time on my desktop while my other two gadgets, the weather and the 'turn off, restart and hibernate' gadget only show when I put the cursor on them.

How can I make the clock into a similar gadget where it shows only when I wish to see the time by putting the cursor on it? (Though, I can see the utility of staring at the time on the clock gadget realizing that my deadlines are looming).
