    Gadgets

    Hello everybody!

I've got windows 7 ultimate x64 on my desktop computer, and I've got a whole bunch really nice desktop/sidebar gadgets not sure what is the correct name :)

Ok so I got a new laptop yesterday Hp pavilion DV7 which is awesome :)
I've got an OEM win 7 premium x64 version on it, and been setting it up
the way I'm used to have it.

    My question is this:

I really want to have the same gadgets on my laptop as on my desktop / workstation. I've got a large amount of them in my ..
    C:\Users\......... \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets
and I want to transfer them to my laptop using an usb memory stick or something.

I've been searching this forum for such a question but not been able to find it,
I would be grateful for any help on that task
    thanks in advance
you all have a good one

thinking there is some entries in the registry or something, that would be missing
if I just copied them to the corresponding folder on my laptop

    ---

I just tried to copy a couple of them and it worked
so I guess it's solved .. sorry for taking your time with this
    boys and gals..

but maybe someone else have the same thoughts so it might
not be a wasted posting after all
    :)

    Hi Ken,

A copy/paste method would work just fine, I like this little add on for moving things around,

Context Menu - Add Copy To Folder and Move To Folder

    Just an FYI....

If you hold down the Ctrl button when selecting you can choose to move all the selected items.
