    Currency gadget is broken

It can only shows US dollar in both column.
Even if I restart the gadget / computer, it still doesn't fix.
    Anyone have the same problem?

Might be something going on with gadgets in general. My built-in weather app hasn't worked all day on two computers.

I think it's something at MS's end. I'm getting the same results over in WDP (Windows Developer Preview, aka W8).

I have two copies of the currency gadget installed, one for Euros and one for GBP. The Euro gadget is still working fine, but the GBP gadget started displaying USD only in both fields. I deleted it and installed another copy, which worked fine for GBP until I rebooted. Now it only displays USD in both fields.

Some possibilities. Make sure your time and date settings are correct. Turn off the windows gadget platform. Navigate to:

    C:\users\(user name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar

If you have a cache folder, delete the contents. Restart the Windows gadget Platform. Try the currency gadget. If no help, create a new user account and see if it works correctly there.

Deleting the cache in C:\users\(user name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar certainly fixed it for me. Thank you, A Guy.

Welcome to Seven Forums Lochiel. You're welcome

This thread is from almost a year ago, the advisory is from June 2012 Going forward however, the possibility that the OP might have this hotfix installed as the cause is certainly a possibility. A Guy
