generator is there a way you can make this image layer itself on top of the clocks so the hands are under it like with this Gadget.
Yeah, quite easy I think because all the images are layered using a z-order. :)

It wouldn't layer over the ones already done though without re-doing them because of the highlight on the background already added, It would turn out twice as bright on the overlay.

as long as their zip files it wont.. I used winrar to do the zips by going to 'Add to archive' after right-clicking and then selecting zip. :)

You can use 7-Zip to open the Gadget Archive and then you just delete the files and drop the new ones in, you don't even need to save or anything, it couldn't be easier.

I wish I knew that earlier lol!

Mr GRiM, I Tried that overlay suggestion and it looks like the overlay and the clock background will have to be exactly the same size, otherwise transparency throws a bit of a wobbler..

It works though! the background is the single layer from the psd without the highlight. The hands dont seem to be much different mind you.

That's strange there should be no problem covering the image as the glass overlay is larger and there should not be anything transparent outside the silver rim, it's strange the way gadgets have this problem on Windows 7, on Vista it wasn't a problem.

I know it's not much of a difference but it is noticeable and gives the gadget more realistic depth.
