    Hi, welcome to the forums.

    You might want to try Gadgets - Restore Default Gadgets

    It could be that there has been some driver causing a particular gadget to fail & the tutorial above could reset your gadget status.
       Note
    Any custom/downloaded gadgets will need to be re-downnloaded & re-installed

    Hope this helps :)

    Go to event viewer and see if there are any recent warnings ... this may be able to point you in the right direction...

    Hmm, i'm a bit stumped at the minute then

    Have you looked on the webcam manufacturers website & downloaded the latest drivers? They may be more recent than on the install disk.

    @Orbital Shark
    I downloaded and installed the latest driver. The driver the company provided from the CD made my Windows 7 unable to load at all so I had to format Windows 7 again.

    @Tews
    There was a warning prior to the error but I don't think it has any relation with the error.

    Same thing happened to me!

    Thats interesting exousia7 - the same thing happened to me. The last thing I installed before the gadgets stopped working was my Logitech Orbit AF webcam. The drivers I got from Logitech's website, and they were Vista 64-bit drivers. The exact same thing is happening to me, I can't even restore the gadgets.
    How do I check the event log?

    Same. I installed the software for my Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 and the gadgets died. I uninstalled the Logitech software (not the drivers) and they came back immediately.
