Looking for a gadget that may not exist...

I'm looking for what I would think would be a very very simple thing, to serve my very techno-phobic co-workers:

I need something that will persistently display info from a document on the desktop of a shared computer (could be like the Windows 7 "sticky note" gadget). The computer gets reset every night by Deep Freeze (goes back to a restore point), so that displayed note would have to pull from our shared drive, not from the internal hard drive. So basically I need something that I can install (and create a new restore point with it installed) that will persistently display text pulled from a word or notepad doc stored on the shared drive, on the desktop.

Does anything like this exist?

Ok, I actually found something that is completely different but works perfectly for my purposes: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb897557.aspx

BUT, I can't figure out how to get it to refresh often. Help?

Welcome to Seven Forums JustSomeDude. Had a look around. First it seems you must run this as a task on Seven. Second, looks like you need to create a batch file to get it to refresh.

BGInfo

BGINFO from Sysinternals on Server 2008, Windows 7, Vista, 2008 R2 - Blog.TonyJobson.com

GPO Run BGInfo at user logon

SysInternals Utility–BGInfo | Mike Shellenberger's Blog

run bginfo as a schedued task - Sysinternals Forums - Page 1

Hopefully some help to get you on your way.
