Gadgets loading up black Hi All
Have this issue with the gadgets loading up in black or not appearing properly.
Tried all the various fixes available such as enable/disable, the batch enable file, the sfc scannow and still no luck with fixing. Also have created a new profile and attempted to add the gadgets back and the problem persists?
This is a new laptop dont understand how it could come up, have scanned and removed malware virus etc as well and still no joy.
Could anyone possibly help?
Thanks | My System Specs |

You have been through this entire thread? Gadget black error
Most of the common fixes are there. If so, post more info on which gadgets, screenshots of how they look, etc. Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

A guy - I have been through that thread downloaded the batch file, also did the enable/disable and switching the gadget feature on and off. The gadgets are just the standard clock calendar and the weather, they appear exactly how they do in the thread. clock background is black with the red line down the middle. | My System Specs | | |

Let's try something that has worked for another gadget display issue. Start> In search box type default programs> Enter> Set Programs Access and Computer Defaults> Select Microsoft Windows> OK your way out
This should cause no issues if it doesn't correct the gadget issue, but always best to create a restore point before hand. System Restore Point - Create

At this point I would run the System File Checker, but you said you tried that. Didi it complete with no errors found, or was it unable to correct problems found?
Issues following an infection always concern me, as it can be that either some of the infection remains, or damage the original infection caused has not been corrected.
If gadgets are important to you (I continue to use them, but they are a known security risk now), a Repair Install may be the fix. Repair Install

Very odd. That SFC found no errors and yet a new User account exhibits the same problem. Next I would perform a clean start and see if something is conflicting with the gadgets/sidebar process. Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
