Windows 7 Gadget Freezes

For me the Desktop Gadget Drives Meter randomly freezes and stops updating the drive information from time to time.

Is this simply poor software coding or is it most likely caused by a system hangup and something more in my control?

Does the gadget resume updating, or does it freeze and stop responding at all? Unless you are also experiencing some sort of system freeze at the same time, or a file transfer freeze for instance. I'd think you are seeing a gadget updating issue. I don't have any of the original W7 gadgets installed, does it have any settings for update interval? I know some "green" hard drives go to sleep after a certain time, but I don't know if that would explain your "randomly". A Guy
