    Computer Status gadget (Shows no details)

    I would like to know what services rely on the Computer Status gadget, because I am following this guide: Sean's Windows 7 Install & Optimization Guide for SSDs & HDDs
    and somewhere along the line of my optimizations I have lost the display of my HDD's, WiFi, Ram etc in my Computer Status gadget.

    anyone with any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Turn off Unused Windows 7 Features

    Sorry Spidey that's a no go for me.

    I was at the Sean's tutorial (located under his 3rd posting under "Optimizations after System Setup" and had made it to the "Turn off Unused Windows 7 Features" when upon a restart I noticed the gadget error.

    Any more help would be appreciated.

    ok... thanks to Brinks article over here:
    Windows Features - Turn On or Off
    I have restored all the Windows Features to default checkboxes and I now have my gadget working.
    NOW i will remove one by one till I find it and report back here.

    :::EDIT:::

    It was in FACT the "Media Features" that I had unchecked and didn't allow the "Computer Status" gadget to work/display properly.
    I guess 'Media' in this case means more than WMP, LOL. Yep Media are also HDD's in this case.
