    Gadgets - Unable to Restore

    OS Win7-64 SP1.

I had problem whereby I wasn't able to see certain folders in my C:/. This was resolved: C:/Program and C:/Program(86) - Not Showing.
    Many thanks again posters.

At the same time as I "lost" folders, gadgets: Kaspersky Internet Security, Local Weather & Currency were also not showing.

I have gone through several of the Tutorials, including obtaining a desktop shortcut which does not open.

    Any advice appreciated.

If you right click an empty space on the desktop> Gadgets

Do the gadgets in question show on the list? If so, what happens if you click to display them? Do you have no gadgets working, or only the ones you mentioned?

    Many thanks for replying.

Right clicking as suggested did not show anything. i.e. nothing happened!

    Computers are strange beasts.

I had to un/reinstall KIS, after which, the Kaspersky gadget reappeared!
Unfortunately no other gadgets appeared. I cannot even open any Folder/file to do with gadgets.
e.g. Start>Search any Programs... shows various files/folders(?). I cannot open any of them.
