Uninstall ie 11 and roll it back to ie 10 if possible as there is a compatibility issue between ie 11 and windows 7; as ie 11 is really designed for windows 8. I had the same issue and searched these forums to discover that is the issue. You should be able to do this by going into windows update and clicking on installed updates and uninstalling ie 11.

EDIT: I like the gadgets personally; so I myself uninstalled ie 11.

There are some good suggestions in this thread,

Or, if you decide to remove IE11,

Yep; as stated before; simply go into windows update; click on installed updates; and uninstall ie 11. That should bring the gadgets back.

Thx, I've tried Reset_Gadgets.bat, but it doesn't help.

I tried IE 11 and had problems with You Tube. I Googled the problem and found it to be rather common.
I decided that if I was not having a problem with IE10, there was no reason to fix it, if it ain't broken. I removed it with System Restore, the preferred method for me.

    Using this FIX:

Fix for Gadget display issues after IE11 Installation on Windows 7 | Ghacks

    solved my problem.

BTW File security must be changed to owner Administrator with full access, otherwise you cannot edit gadget.xml.
