    Temp gauge for laptops?


    Can anyone suggest one or more of these for a Acer Aspire 5738z, with Win 7 64 bit?

    I use Speecy from Piriform.com. Which is free.
    I am sure there are others.

    Hi, thanks.. I too have that but when my laptop freezes I cannot see it, so is there one that shows in the tool bar or somewhere??

    Not sure of one that you can display in your tool bar.

    Core Temp will display in your system tray.

    I would recommend using the stand alone version under other downloads to avoid the download manager and other unwanted extras.

    What is causing your laptop to freeze?
    1. Check in msconfig to see what you have in start up
    2. Using DOS Commmand(Run as Admin) try running sfc /scannow to see if you have any problems there.

    My concern is not just have a gauge to display on your laptop but what is freezing it and how often.

    Forgot to mention that sfc /scannow takes a little time.
    If you get a message telling you it found the problem and repaired it then reboot and run it again.
    NoN, another member here, helped me with temp problems and Windows update. Now my laptop is running great!

    I takes a few minutes to run so be patient.
