    Gadgets not opening, cant restore but some are still


    Oksooooooo all of a sudden my desktop gadgets are not working sorta, some of them come on during startup like normal, but a few are missing, and i cannot open desktop gadgets, i tried to restore, and uninstall and it will not open the desktop gagets uhm window/program ect wtf >_< its gana drive me crazy can any one offer assitence.
    im running windows 7 ultimate.

    fixed it lol
    using gpedit.msc i went into windows components and disabled the desktop gagets after closing all that where open, did a reboot, re enabled and boom works again!

Suddenly our desktop gadgets have disappeared, we're running 32 bit Home Premium. If I right click on Desktop gadgets there is no response, and If I try to open the Desktop gadget gallery there again is no sign of action. Everything else appears to be OK. Any ideas please?

ok so i followed a tutorial a long time ago (not sure which one) on reinstating vista sidebar. my problem now is i want the windows 7 one back. i have tried renaming my windows sidebar 2 folder back to windows sidebar and also tried sfc /scannow but neither work. when i looked at the log from sfc...
