Since you have the same problem, did you already try the same solution? :)

Are you using a 3rd party firewall program, or just Windows Firewall? If 3rd party, you will need to add an exception to allow the gadget access through the firewall.

What gadget is this for? I'll be happy to do some testing with it to see how it works on my system. :)
