Gadgets!!

    I tried the second and they were already turned on.
    I cant seem to find this check box under the view section?[IMG]file:///M:/Desktop/forum.png[/IMG]

    You said you tried the second, and it was already on?

    Yeah, Windows Gadget Platform is on of course, or gadgets wouldn't be there. You have to follow the tutorial, and turn it of, reboot, and go back and turn it back on, then try.


    And for the View -

    If you don't see it there, did you turn the gadget platform off from the tutorial, and not go back and re enable it?

    Edit - I guess you have gadgets there on the desktop, and don't have it under View in the context menu. Weird. I might try running sfc/scannow, and if nothing comes up, maybe a repair install.

    First option did work.
    So i did the scan and here are results.

    If it was me, I would do a repair install like I said here -

    To me, it looks like you've got more going on than just not being able to install some gadgets.

    To do this do i boot from the windows 7 CD a click repair

    Best to read and follow the tutorial step by step. Write or print out the instructions down if you have to.

    Ok right guys sorry it has been sometime but thought i would just post back!

    First of all I did a re-install (Upgrade no full re-install) so i kept all my files and programs.
    This seemed to solve the problem.
