Event Id 1000 source 100 (application error) is sometimes DEP. Date Execution Protection prevents applications from launching code in protected memory space. If it is only only app you can go into DEP and exempt it (make sure it isnt a virus first). If it is more than one you can change the sensitivity or even turn it off.

It is located in your system control panel (see pic) and its std settings are for MS applications only. It is System CPanel>advanced settings>advanced>performance>advanced>DEP

Let us know if that doesnt help

hi ken thanks for this but i solved it by going to Shell:gadgets and deleting all of the downloaded gadgets. now it works properly, i belive some of the gadgets which i downloaded had corrupted so it was acting like that.

Rlvknlg.exe is mostly spyware related. You can almost certainly cure this with either Super anti spyware or the ever popular and reliable MalwareBytes.
