Some gadgets don't reload automatically after installing W7

After I upgraded from Vista to W7, some of the gadgets don't load automatically when I reboot my notebook. Only a two of them consistently reload. The others go back to the repository and have to be brought out manually.

Even newly installed gadgets don't reload.

Please help.

Thank you.

Do you happen to have UAC turned off? If so, your gadgets won't load correctly. Also take a look at this tutorial - Gadgets - Add or Remove from Desktop

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply Cassandra,

However the UAC is activated and nothing else seems to fix it.

Best regards,

I finally figured it out!

The only two gadgets that loaded all the time were actually the ones causing all the trouble.

I simply uninstalled them and all the instances of the gadgets I installed before and did not load after rebooting started to pop out of the blue on the screen.

After that, I spent some 5 minutes cleaning out the repeating instances of the gadgets that suddenly appeared.

Anyway, after eliminating the two bad gadgets, everything went back to normal.
