    Hi,

For a long time I've used the gadget pack from Gersma on DeviantArt:

Chameleon Glass by ~gersma on deviantART

It has a mail gadget wich I think will work with any pop3 account and win7
You can change the notification sound and click on it to open your mail client.
    Unfortunately this is not it
    But very thank you people!!

You can see it on the screen picture on Deviant (bottom right) it's an envelope with
    a counter.

If you downloaded the file and extracted it, it's in the folder gadgets and called
    chameleon_email.
Just click it and install it.

I found it!!!!! But I don't see how you can configure notification options, intervals of checks, which client to use, and more. Like I said, this is not it.

All I need is a Gadget for my Win 7,
to monitor my incoming mail server,
to have two kinds of CONFIGURABLE notifications (visual and audible),
would open up my default mail client when I click on that visual notification or on the program itself.

    Thank You!!!

If you put your mouse on the gadget you will see a little key wrench appear on
the right of it, if you click on it a dialog box will open where you can put in your
e-mail account, set the control interval and the notification sound.
At the bottom there is even a help option to set it up.

It also works with Windows Vista.
