    Splinter Cell

NOTE: This is not the same issue that was posted in an earlier Chaos Theory thread. I am really new to Windows7, but here is my problem.

I just downloaded and paid for a digital copy of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory off of Gamestop. Simple enough; went online, spent 9 dollars, downloading no problem. I downloaded the Windows Installer Package. Upon the end of this install it brings me to another installer. This is the big file actually being transferred (around 3.3GB). That works fine. I then get to the final installer which is a Wizard. It begins to install and then I get an error while it is trying to install one of the in-game sounds. I have the option to Abort, Retry, or Ignore. I did retry to no avail, and then ignore. The installation proceeds, and at the very end I get this error message describing a list of all of the errors which are completely sound-based. This then pops up with a Windows 7 message saying fatal error, and the installer quits.

Hope that was descriptive enough. Any ideas. Please, I bought this because I am a fan of the series and this wasn't the start I was looking for. Help!

    CRC Error

[...] .umd file does not match the file in the setup's .cab file.

The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted;contact your software vendor.

Sounds to me like there is a problem with the initial download. You may want to contact Gamestop about this as it seems something didn't get downloaded or is missing.

As stated above it sounds like the files you downloaded have become corrupt. I would suggest downloading it again.
