Problem with some games [ Ubisoft Launcher ]

Hey there,

I have just started using Windows 7 and i tried installing some games , link POP5 and Assassins Creed II ,

the setup is OK except for the part of installing the Ubisoft Game Launcher,

well, I tried installing it manually , then when i click Install , nothing happens at all..

i used the troubleshooter , and i got the error that it's an incompatible application with Windows 7.

So does that mean that i need Windows XP to play these games!!?!

P.S : I tried changing the compatibility option and selected other types of windows , but that didn't help solve the problem.

Hope you can help,
thanks in advance.

I have played Assassin's Creed II with windows 7 prof (64) so that should not be a problem.

And could you please explain what happens when you try to start the game?
Do the launcher not start at all?

As have I and i have not had any problems but i did notice a problem with Splinter Cell: Conviction.... where the game would disconnect often...

Can you please update your system specs as it would help greatly in trying to fix the problem..

DirectX Launcher Problem
Hi, I have a problem here. DirectX launcher wouldn't launch at all. I have tried the 'sfc / scannow' command in the Command Prompt too but the results were good therefore I assume that there are no corrupted files inside my comp. I have even used Registry Cleaners regularly but it still can't work.

Launcher for games
I'm a pretty heavy gamer, and I'm a fan of using a very organized and minimalist computer. I used to use Steam to launch games, but some games don't work with it. I then tried using the Game explorer, with it set in the Start Menu to pop out when I hover over it. This was messy and didn't work...

My problem is different to all you guys. If I run the launcher and just select play, everything works OK. However, if I try to change any settings - either in launcher or in-game - it freezes up and I have to reboot or close it down with task manager. Any ideas on that one? PS. I've looked at...
