    Error 1607

    To All,

The other day, while trying to install a game, I received the following error message:
1607: Unable to install installshield scripting runtime

I managed to find an indirect work around to install the game, but I still have not resolved this issue.

When I did some research, I found a few articles that directed me toward updating Installshield Engines, but I simply could not get things to work:
    http://consumerdocs.installshield.co...8322&sliceId=1

I would solve one error in this installation and another would appear.

Long story short, my question is this ....

I have copied the files located in the following directory from my pc at work which runs Windows XP (C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield).

If I copy them over to my pc at home which runs Windows 7, will that possibly fix the issue?

Thank you in advance to those who might be able to offer some assistance.

    Sincerely,

    KC
