From about just over a week ago I've had trouble connecting with MMORPG games from Perfect World, my main focus however is on the game Perfect World International.
I've been receiving messages about server errors telling me to log off and try again until two days ago when the game has now decided to disconnect after a minutes gameplay.
I contacter their support centre and they asked for a tracert to one of their server's IP addresses. I obliged and after learning how to do it I attempted it. When I did I couldn't help but think something was awry, so I attempted the process on the main computer in the house that runs XP, and the result I received was vastly different.
The result when running from my computer contains nothing but 'Request Timed Out' for all of the hops. I also attempted to ping the address and received the same message. This is what I get:
C:\Users\UserName>ping pwieast1.perfectworld.com

The results are very different to what I feel I should be getting so I decided that it might possibly be the router's fault. So I unplugged it from the main computer and into my own and received the same result. Since I get a response from the other computer it can't be my ISPs fault. I turned off all of my firewalls and antivirus programs as well as enabled the rules for 'File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In'. I'm still not getting a response.
I'm really stuck on what I should do since I don't know as much about computers as I would like to.
I would really appreciate on help or advice that you could give me, and if you should need any information about my system I can produce a DxDiag file and a HijackThis log.
Thanks in advance.
