    Counter Strike 1.6 problem

I installed Windows 7 RC 1 and then played CS 1.6 on it. The latency was pretty high than usual (in Windows XP). Then i tried playing single played game in it. The game hangs while server is being created.
And after that when try to connect to any server the game just hangs on "establishing connection to server".
    Help me with this.

I was reading your other post an noticed a pattern that all of your post have to do with something online. What is your internet connection Cable, DSL, Wireless, do you have a router are you sharing the connection with another machine that is using the network heavly (IE torrents) and make sure you have run all the windows updates and have the newest drivers for your NIC card. Also is this in Steam? Make sure you run a system defrag in the start menu and the one side of steam for the app.

XP has different drivers then Win 7. What type of nic is it and do you have the newest drivers for the card?

Hey I have tried everything for the last past day having windows 7 64bit installed. I read about 100 forums on how to change the refresh rate, but in my case my monitor(Viewsonic ultrabrite A90f+) is so old that it doesnt show up in phoenix to edit it. I am running it on a 8800 GTS 640mb vid card. I even tried running admin reforce 100hz for 640x480 still no luck. I am just about to go back to windows XP 32 because this is such a damn hassle(but I don't want to really) . Looked at every single tutorial related to this problem still nothing. Appreciate any comments on this problem just so I can be a step further. http://www.viewsonic.com.ph/support/...ries/a90fplus/
