    hi i need help with the sims 2


    hi i need help i used to have windows vista and had all the sims 2 games loaded and worked fine i now got a new computer with windows 7 its a hp computer dont know if that will help or not anyways when i load the games on to this computer it loads fine but when i click to play it has to search for a solution so i click on the sims 2 patches and install the update the game then loads properly but when i go to play it the game goes a bit weird like i will move the sim and the grass and the hole ground in the house becomes the sim head hard to explain i really miss playing the sims just want to know if there is something i can do so i can play it again

    Welcome to the Seven Forums!

    It sounds like the problem may be with your computer's graphics processor. What kind of graphics processor do you have?

    If you don't know what kind of graphics processor you have, you can check by opening the Start Menu, typing "dxdiag" and hitting Enter. A new window will open; click the Display tab at the top of that window, and the information will be listed in a category labeled "Device".

    hi i have the direct diagnosis tool up but it doesnt say anything about device how else can i tell what it is?

    OK, go into the Start Menu again, type "System Information" and hit Enter. Now on the left side of the window that comes up, click the little plus sign next to Components, then click Display. After a few seconds, a whole bunch of information will come up on the right side. Tell me what the first line says (the line that starts with "Name").

    Yes, that is what I was looking for. Now, can you take a screenshot of your problem occurring? It would really help me help you if I could see what it's doing.

    ok sorry late reply hopefully you reply again. It loaded properly in the end after i added all the expansion packs i thought i could work around the problem but its doing my head in now i got the problem where it works up until it says mansion & garden stuff and then when i click on a building or a family member it starts freezing on the loading part please please help

    sorry i just uninstalled them was going to load the games up again dont think it will help you the bit when you load a family and it says loading family it stops working there and freezes
