Windows 7: Freight Tycoon

Freight Tycoon

I used the search function with "Freight Tycoon" and only came up with 1 result in the Gaming area.

So far, I'm only having 1 big issue, but for those of you who don't know what Freight Tycoon is, I'll explain a little bit of it. The game is where you have a to run a fleet of trucks (big or small, that's up to you), and you have to finish "contracts" to gain money. If you don't finish them, or you're late, the contract fails and you only get the money on whatever "stages" you didn't fail on. If you play the Scenario Maps instead of the campaign maps, they have you start in the year 1950, and I think it goes to 2010 or something, but not sure.

Anyway, the game basically goes by "days, months and years" (just think of Roller Coaster Tycoon). But when I reach January 1st of the year 1976, the game crashes. This didn't happen to me when I was running it on Windows XP. I saved the game just prior to the game passing 1975 (December 31st), and the game crashes every time it hits Jan 1st. Does anyone have any fixes or known ways to get passed this stupid crash?

I'd post this on the 1C forums, but that place is rarely visited, and 1C is kinda well known there for not really caring about it's customers, seeing as the only "fix" 1C put up for Freight Tycoon was a "loading time" fix when the game loaded up or loaded a saved game taking a long time. That's it, they didn't fix anything else with the game.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
