    How to Ping us.battle.net?

I wanna play SC2 on the us server, but I don't know if my connection speed is good enough. I tried "Ping us.battle.net" in cmd but only got a timed out response. I guess it's not the correct way to ping the server, coz actually I'm not able to ping through any server of battle.net in cmd. Then I tried this ping tool from iwebtool.com.

    The result is as follow:
    Address Status Ping Speed
    us.battle.net Online 61.96ms

This may sound silly, but I am not sure about what it means.

Does the result imply my connection speed to the the us.battle.net server,or it's only the connection speed between the iwebtool.com and us.battle.net server?

Can I rely on the result to make the decision of buying a SC2 US client?

    Thank you.

Try doing ping www.us.battle.net in cmd prompt to ping it. The tool should be telling you the connection from your PC to the server, though.

Thank you for the reply. No luck on pinging www.us.battle.net. It says "could not find host www.us.battle.net."

I can't believe in the ping tool on iwebtool.com coz it says I have a much better connection speed with us server than with tw and kr.

    207.252.96.3 - east coast
    192.153.156.3 - west coast

Thanks, stormy. The ip addresses can be pinged in cmd. Still, any idea what the result in the web ping tools means?

    Run
    Programs
    Accessories
right click on cmd prompt run as administrator
    type tracert useast.battle.net
and the last hop before a timeout is effectively your ping
