    I have the same issues, and I can tell you it has everything to do with the os. I run W7 on one harddrive and run XP on the other. When I boot into XP the game plays great and FPS / Ping is fine, under W7 everything is spiking, fps and ping.

    hmm, that's odd.. i just started noticing FPS skips too.. never had that before. Gonna try running Vsync next time. see if it helps.

    i too have this issue its so freaking annoying i am going to backstab someone and my game lets me actually do the motion of stabbing and the sniper is stuck in like a loop or walk in place cause my network is like stutering

    I had this issue from before. It is something to do with the config.cfg file and the variables it holds not being happy about windows 7. When I deleted it (the game will create another one) it worked fine. It's in steamapps/team fortress 2/tf/cfg/

    I am using Win7 RTM x64 now, did you do what I said? It completely fixed my issues.

    Try renaming the entire TF2 folder, and restarting Steam. Then try! :)
