Cod 2 xpm

Hi, I have Windows 7 ultimate 32bit. I had instaled the XP mode and it works, but I had instaled the Call of Duty 2 and tried to launch it. However, it writes me: Please insert the correct CD/DVD ROM...
I donīt know what to do because I have an original game. I tried to fix it in options, but nothing. Please, help me

Micha, welcome to the forums.

The problem is you installed in in XP Mode, which was never meant to be used for games. It is for backwards compatibility with things like office apps.

That game at most would need to be installed using compatibility mode,

Compatibility Mode

which is very different from XP Mode running in a VM.

CoD2 works fine in 64bit Windows 7. I have it.

I do not recall having to install it under compatability mode however, but its been awhile.
If so, the link Stormy has provided is what you'll need to do.

Also, dont forget the 'Play Disc" is Disc 1. In case you accidently left the last disc in the drive after instal.

Thanks. I have only one CD and I instaled it through the Compatibility mode. I tried different ways of the compatibility options, I tried the Multiplayer and it runs correctly. I used the same compatibility options for a Singleplayer, but itīs still writing "...please insert the correct CD/DVD ROM..." Thanks for your advice
