Logitech Joystick and Windows Pro 7 64 bit

I recently upgrade my PC (new I3 CPU, motherboard etc complete) and running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I want to use my Logitech Force 3D joystick. Used it last when XP was installed a few years back.

When I install the disk software that comes with the joystick and open the Logitech Profiler I get an error message "unable to detect any game controllers". When I open the Control Panel, Device Manager and look under Sound, Video and Game controllers it does not show the joystick.

Ive installed the latest software from the Logitech Website. When I open the new Logitech Profiler now I get the same error message "unable to detect and game controllers". When I open the "Control Panel, Device Manager" and look under "Sound, Video and Game controllers" it still does not show the joystick. However when I open the "Human Interface Device " It shows the joystick and that all drivers is up to date. During installation it ask me to calibrate and test all buttons which work fine during calibration.

Yet Im unable to use the joystick or open the Logitech profiler. Please assist.

Ok I solved the problem. Maybe someone else can can resolve their issues also.

If un-install all the drivers in Hardware and un-install all the software for the controller. Then I reboot the PC. Once the PC is on I insert the controller USB and let Windows 7 install its own drivers. Then I install the latest software for the controller and the Logitech Profiller shows the Joystick. (previously I installed the controller software first and then the drivers and its not working

Now I just need some advice how to use the Joystick in Battle stations Midway
