    Fallout New Vegas (Pre-Orders)

So, I'm confused about this pre-order.

I went to Gamestop yesterday to place my pre-order.

My intentions were to pre-order the Colloctors Edition of the game itself as well as the hard cover CE Strategy Guide.
(would go nicely with the CE Boxed game I think :) )

    Here is my confusion.

The guy at my local Gamestop told me they quit taking pre-orders and removed the sku for them like 2 or 3 months ago.
They only have the regular game now, but can get the CE guide.
I told him I seen the CE on their website, and he stated it must be wrong or in need of update.

I went ahead and placed the order.

However, going to the website again it appears they certainly do have it and I can Pre-Order.

Anyone else have any pre-orders with GameStop that could get it?

Im wondering if I should just cancell that In-Store pick up all together and just order from the GS online store and have it shipped.

As you all may, or may not know, you get bonus downloadable bonus content for pre-ordering, but exactly what you get depends where you got the game.

This is why I initially choose GS, because I wanted the Classic pack.

Get it from GS online or Amazon.com. I stopped pre-ordering in store a few releases ago, they just don't care enough to get you what you want anymore.

I think I may do that and cancell the PO I had at the store.

I was hoping it would be easier as a In-Store PU since its only a 10min drive from here.

I know. BUT Amazon.com ships so that it's delivered to you on the day of the release. I got Halo Reach at like 9 AM that day.

Yea every time I've pre-ordered online, I've got it delivered the morning it was released, and sometimes even the day before release with Amazon.

I pre-ordered my CE edition through GameStop months ago, but decided against the strategy guide. Thought about doing the pre-order through Amazon but wasn't sure when I would get it. Been thinking about the CE strategy guide but am still undecided.

Anyways can't wait to get the game. And we get to be beta testers until the first patch is released

I wish I could afford to get Fallout New Vegas for the Xbox 360. To poor to buy a copy.

Hopefully as fun and good of a game as Fallout 3 was though.

I just wanted the CE Strategy Guide as a collector item more than anything.

ATM, Amazon has it it for $23. Everywhere else, including GS is $35.
    So not too bad.

$23 might make me want to get it .

I typically don't buy strategy guides of any kind. Though I did buy the standard one for Dragon Age because I've never played that type game before and found the guide to be very very handy.
With that I would probably be getting the Fallout collector edition guide just to have it
