Running Diablo 2 LOD in full screen

I've looked all over this board and others and I cannot find a way to run D2LOD in full screen. If I disable desktop composition it brings up an error saying that I need to rerun D2VidTst. When I try to run D2VidTst it says that it cannot find it. If I try and run it normally without altering the properties of it an error message stating that it cannot initialize Direct3D. Any ideas?

Hey lord zorthan, like i said there is a prob with the open GL with diablo when running it on windows 7 with a new GPU, what y our going to have to do is go to task manager, and look for the program that says explorer.exe and right click it and go to end process tree, after you do that your going to loose windows explorer like the tast bar start menu et cedera. so your going to have to Control ALT+DEL to get task manager to come back up and your going to have to go to applications tab and then at the bottom your going to hit new application and search for the D2 Exe. where ever it may be i have my D2 installed onto my desktop, but find it and then run it and it should work fine when you go to run it in full screen, but i gotta tell you its better to runn it in windowed mode just in case you need to google something like how to get past the ****ing 3 act lol. but anyways if you need actually help shoot me an email and ill do my best to help you out! tjb1389@gmail.com cheers mate

    ummm...

I know I'm way late for this, but I was having the same problem, but I noticed that when I ran the D2 video test, it flashed for DirectDraw, and then flashed again for Direct3D, but then didn't do anything for 3DFX Glide. I then found 3DFX Glide online, and installed, and now Diablo 2 is running without any issues. I hope this helps you, and/or anyone else who has this issue.
