Problem with DirectX, Windows 7, and a game.
Okay, so, I just got a new game, The Witcher Enhanced Edition. I installed it with no problems of any kind. After I started it up and clicked play, however, an errer message came up saying "The program can't start because d3dx9_35.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I tried reinstalling, I tried restarting my computer, I tried compatibility mode, I tried to install DirectX9 to only get another error and the later knowledge that you apparently can't install directX9 on a Windows 7 system, and nothing has worked. I've read a few people say they got DirectX9 to work on Windows 7, but they never tell how they did this, they just say that they started it up and it worked or they installed and 'now what?'. So, can anyone help me? I would very much like the assistance as I'm about to toss this thing out the window (no pun intended.)
