Windows 7: IL-2 Sturmovik Installation problem

Hi all,
I just made an account and this is my first post here (I'm a long time lurker though).

I'm looking for some help with a game I recently brought (an old cheap one, £0.99) but it isnt working. It's IL-2 Sturmivik and I think it was released a long time ago. The problem I'm getting is that I run the CD autorun file and nothing happens

. Therefor I havent managed to get anything at all installed. I've tried running as an administrator as well. (Im not a complete novice)

Although, I failed to check whether it actually works on Windows 7 though

Seems it is not x64 compatible
Windows 7 Compatibility for IL2 Sturmovik: 1946: Ubisoft. Drivers, Updates, Downloads

Use the latest patches: Ubisoft - IL-2 Sturmovik

Your link takes me to IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, I have the normal version: Ubisoft - IL-2 Sturmovik

Im sure its the same kind of problem so thanks anyway
