Installed Fine and checked PC requirements all qualify to play the game, from the Autorun menu clicked on new game and a runtime error occured (microsoft visual C+++ library)...any help/ideas/solutions to this problem?

+1 on what Jacobe said... perhaps it came with the game but you skipped it?
Try reinstalling again or try a windows update... DO NOT install audio or video drivers from the update though.
where could i find the latest c+++? and i installed everything from the game!
re-installed and ran an windows update and problem still persists....
