Yeah, it's definitely getting a little bitter/sweet. Most of the issues I have are performance anomalies (for obvious reasons. see specs, then lol at them). But as far as game-play bugs go, they have been minor for me. Some are more prevalent, naturally:

The quest "ED-3 My Love" for example, is flat out busted. My guess is that you are supposed to take him somewhere. But the mission log, does not say where, nor give me any explanation as to why the robot has to go there in the first place. He'll randomly spew little 'data-logs', which I can replay, but thus far haven't updated the ques in any way. Oh well, he makes some good Powered toast, so I can't complain.
(get it? ed-3 looks like a toaster...)

Whenever I run into a bug or think I did I go through my game guide or search on line for a solution/walkthrough then restart the quest taking steps to avoid them.

It's a shame you have to use this method just to avoid all the bugs

i thought a few of the quests were broken too, but then i stumbled upon their solution.

for example, as Holo88 mentions above - the ED-E quest seems to go nowhere. but as soon as you meet some other characters elsewhere (i won't say who or where they are - but you've met them before in fallout 3), then the quest comes back to life.

*SPOILER WARNING* when you do meet these folks, and the ED-E quest does come to life, you'll have to leave the cool robot with somebody for a few days while they repair it. i would advise removing any inventory items that ED-E is carrying before handing him over, otherwise you may lose it when ED-E is returned. i had him carrying loads of fancy guns and armour, but lost it all. (luckily i was carrying the teddies at the time.)

a couple of other quests are like that too - you can see them in your quest log, and sometimes also on your map, but nothing happens when you go there, or you can't find the exact person/place etc. you sometimes have to do something else (sometimes elsewhere) before the next stage of the quest gets triggered.

you also have to make sure you have the right partner to trigger certain quests too...

this is probably good, as it makes the solutions less obvious, and it's a nice surprise when what you thought was horribly buggy actually wasn't.

    @ micky megabyte,

The quests you describe I can understand, You just need to explore more, but these are obvious: failed task .... Discuss Fallout: New Vegas and this.... locked door.... Discuss Fallout: New Vegas. My solution for the locked door.... Discuss Fallout: New Vegas

Failing to explore and look for things on your map does not a bug make... but if you've done everything required for the task to be completed (as intended by the designers) and the taks still fails, then that's a bug. The links I provide are examples of this.

The Ed-E quest seemed to be working as intended ... at least for me.

As suggested, keep exploring and questing as normal and it will all start coming together.

Well I'm going to be walking away from this for awhile as I just picked up Metro 2033. I need a break; maybe I'll be enthused once I finish off Metro.

    Peace

I figured that would be the case.

I remember seeing a review where a HD5850 was getting 30-35FPS which has a bit more horsepower. But I do not recall what settings they were using.

Might actually need to upgrade my trusty 4890 before long
