It's amazing how much faster a system gets when you turn off yahoo messenger, the sidebar, automatic updates, itunes related services, the interface for your security software, then restart, or better yet don't install it in the first place. If you want a system for gaming, why are you on the internet with it? The necessary security software for internet use will slow a system down over time in a way that isn't even noticeable unless you have another machine like it that is never connected to anything.

Of course I have.. and I will never use it. If a game can't be installed or played without an active internet connection, I won't play it.

In windows 7 it's pretty much useless. I've tried it, and didn't see any problems, nor any difference in game performance, but it is somewhat useful in xp machines with limited resources

    This too.

I used it religiously on XP and it did it's job. For whatever reason, it doesn't do squat on 7. If anything, it causes more instability on 7, in my experience.
Using Fallout NV as an example, I would get like 3 CTD in a 2 hour play. Without using gamebooster, however, I get 1 crash maybe after 3-4 hours. So yeah, it's useless imo.
