DUKE: Life is a Beach, DUKE Atomic, DUKE it Out in D.C., DUKE Zone II....(Kill-A-Tone Collection) Good Grief I had to dig all of those out of moth balls!
The 3DRealms version had all those piled on top of the DUKE3D version. It will be interesting to see how well the D.F. sequel does however. In the last few years updated sequels to other old titles have been emerging. | My System Specs |

Hail to the King, baby...I got to look through my old Discs where I have duke 3D and all the mods that were around that time. IMHO a good "Substitute" to span the time are the different versions of Serious Sam.

I see they had released an updated version of that but not the Duke3D original. That would be interesting if they had. At this point seeing how the DF sequel will turn out once it is finished and whenever that is. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64, XP Mode, W8 RP VM, Linux Mint Debian 2nd OS HD- 7 Pro x64 second case CPU AMD Phenom II X4 975 Deneb 3.6ghz - 965 on new mini tower Motherboard Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 Memory Kingston Hyper X DDR3 1600 1.5v 16gb - Mushkin on 2nd build Graphics Card MSI HD Radeon 5750 1gb - MSI HD Radeon 6450 on mini tower Sound Card Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeGamer - Realtek onooard 2nd case Monitor(s) Displays 2 x Acer P191W 19" widesscreen - HP 20" widescreen mini towe Screen Resolution 1440x900 native - 1600x1024 on 7 Pro x64 build Keyboard Microsoft Recusa Razor - MS Comfort 3000 on second build Mouse MS Trackball Explorer - A4TECH dual scroll wheel trackball PSU Corsair 750TX - primary / Corsair CX600 - second Case Antec 900-2 - SSD compatible / NZXT Vulcan mini tower Cooling Zalman CNPS9900A Hard Drives Primary Ultimate x64 build-

eduke32 is the updated engine which can handle enhanced graphics for Duke 3D.

- Run EDuke32! Running eduke32.exe will allow you to play the game, and mapster32.exe lets you create custom maps.
That means you could either use the original 3D or the Atomic edition.
That's how it works for me

I just hope that, whomever makes the game, doesn't do EXP or side missions to gain EXP or better weapon upgrades.
What I remember about this game is that is was "Balls Out" and that's how I want to play it. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) CPU Intel Q9650 Motherboard EVGA 780i FTW Memory 8GBs Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz Graphics Card Asus GTX660 (2GBs) + MSI 9600GT (PhysX) Sound Card Onboard Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL2216W Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU PC Cooling 750w Silencer Case Thermaltake Spedo Advance Cooling CM 8V Hard Drives WD VelociRaptor 300GB

I'm sure the updated sequel will have varying difficulty levels.
As for that EDuke32 you have to wonder if that will work on the 64bit 7. The main page for that development is seen at EDuke32 • Duke3D for Windows, Linux and OS X referred to from the sorceforge page. EDuke32 | Download EDuke32 software for free at SourceForge.net
That would have to be some form of VM dos emulator type app someone came up with. I have both of those but neither on DOSBox would run due to the game's inability to detect and use any recent sound cards. This would be something else to look over.
(The advantages of updated sequels is no hardware fuss! ) | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64, XP Mode, W8 RP VM, Linux Mint Debian 2nd OS HD- 7 Pro x64 second case CPU AMD Phenom II X4 975 Deneb 3.6ghz - 965 on new mini tower Motherboard Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 Memory Kingston Hyper X DDR3 1600 1.5v 16gb - Mushkin on 2nd build Graphics Card MSI HD Radeon 5750 1gb - MSI HD Radeon 6450 on mini tower Sound Card Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeGamer - Realtek onooard 2nd case Monitor(s) Displays 2 x Acer P191W 19" widesscreen - HP 20" widescreen mini towe Screen Resolution 1440x900 native - 1600x1024 on 7 Pro x64 build Keyboard Microsoft Recusa Razor - MS Comfort 3000 on second build Mouse MS Trackball Explorer - A4TECH dual scroll wheel trackball PSU Corsair 750TX - primary / Corsair CX600 - second Case Antec 900-2 - SSD compatible / NZXT Vulcan mini tower Cooling Zalman CNPS9900A Hard Drives Primary Ultimate x64 build-
