It's alright on PC. It's not the best port from Xbox to PC, but it's still pretty good to play if you're a fan of the Halo series. Singleplayer is alright to play and the multiplayer is pretty funny though not that many people play it online. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Professional x64 Service Pack 1 CPU Intel Core i7 920 3.2GHz Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth x58 Memory 6GB XMS3 Corsair 1333MHz Graphics Card Zotac Nvidia Geforce GTX470 Sound Card ASUS Xonar DX/XD 7.1 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24" S2409W + Dell 20" E207WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1080 + 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G11 Keyboard Mouse Logitech G5 Laser Mouse (2007 edition) PSU Corsair HX850 modular Case Coolermaster 690II Advanced Nvidia Edition Cooling Corsair H60 Hard Drives 1x 120GB OCZ Vertex 2E, 1x 750GB Western Digital Caviar Black, 1x 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green Internet Speed 16Mbps Other Info LG Blu-Ray player |

If you played and liked Halo 1 then it is a "must" play IMO. Graphics are a little better but I thought the gameplay was definitely better. If you haven't played the first one then you may want to pass. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Self built OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 CPU Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz Motherboard Asus P8Z77-V Memory 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz Graphics Card EVGA GTX 570 Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 1. It's not bad, but it's not great either. Playing the campaign is pretty fun, but there are issues when you look around with the mouse because the movement is a little choppy at times and becomes REALLY slow when you're steering a vehicle. Even at maximum mouse sensitivity, these issues don't go away. I had to increase the sensitivity through my mouse driver.
Multiplayer has the same issues, but also has the problem of lack of players. You can still find populated games, but not as many as Halo 1 or COD4, which can make it hard to earn some of the multiplayer achievements. Still, it's pretty fun.
If you want to try it out, go ahead as it's not as horrible as some of the other games out there. It's only $20 now, so I'd say it's worth the money. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Inspiron 14R N4110 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Core i5-2410M Quad Core CPU @ 2.30 GHz Memory 8 GB Shared Channel DDR3 Memory Graphics Card Intel HD Graphics 3000, AMD Radeon HD 6470M Sound Card Intel Display Audio, Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 14" HD 720p LED Display Screen Resolution 1366x768 Mouse Microsoft USB IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 Hard Drives 500 GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive |

I normally don't like Sci Fi shooters like Halo but, because of the FAIL games that MoH & Black Ops are, I see my self game-less and even though they may not be the same... I'll ask here
Anyone that has play the Campaigns of MoH or Black Ops... how would you compare the gameplay to Halo 2? Would I enjoy it? I did enjoy MoH more than BO and I am jonesing to play something. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) CPU Intel Q9650 Motherboard EVGA 780i FTW Memory 8GBs Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz Graphics Card Asus GTX660 (2GBs) + MSI 9600GT (PhysX) Sound Card Onboard Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL2216W Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU PC Cooling 750w Silencer Case Thermaltake Spedo Advance Cooling CM 8V Hard Drives WD VelociRaptor 300GB

I'm not a shooter fan and I loathe multiplayer, but I'm a huge sci-fi nut. To that end, would you guys say the Halo series is worth the purchase for someone who just wants to know what the singleplayer campaign/story is all about?
Yeah, I know it's not high literature but I just want to know whether the story is decent enough to worth playing through the game. Fwiw I enjoyed reading W40K stuff and I don't think I'm too picky about a story as long as it actually has a story, you know, instead of something like id software's Doom (which I did play, but that was the early 1990s - and I did buy the Doom books, which were a hilarious read). Er, and I'm embarrassed to admit I somehow managed to avoid Half Life too - but I've already decided on buying that as well. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-built rig OS Win7 Pro x64 CPU Koa i5-2550K Memory 8 GB Graphics Card Sapphire ATI 6870 1GB GDDR5 Sound Card RealTek HD Audio / ATI HDMI Audio Monitor(s) Displays Samsung HDTV Monitor T23A350 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech G110 Hard Drives - SSD (C:)

Halo CE and 2 can be had for a pittance. Halo 3 is harder to find for not so much dough.
If you are not a shooter fan, you might not like them. The story is pretty interesting if you follow it though. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Pugh Technologies OS W7 Professional x64 CPU AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.10 GHz Motherboard MSI 870A-G54 Memory PNY XLR DDR3 1600 4x2GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (fermi) 1GB GDDR5 Sound Card Realtek ALC892 onboard Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VE205t, Viewsonic VX2035WM Screen Resolution 1600x900, 1600x1050 Keyboard Logitec 55 Mouse Razer Deathadder PSU Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Case ThermalTake Armor A90 Mid Tower Cooling 3x 120mm in, 1x 120mm & 200mm out, self built hydro-cooler Hard Drives 977GB Hitachi Hitachi HDS721010CLA332
