    stalling while gaming

Hi, I have a dv3 2165 ee and its giving me issues lately. when playing games it runs fine for about 20 minutes or so and then starts stalling and running very slow. The fan gets loud and it gets a bit hot. Sometimes it hibernates during the game. I have 3gigs of ram and a ge force graphics card with 512mb dedicated video memory. Please help me fix this.

I'm pretty sure all your issues are due to your graphics card. A 105M isn't high on the list; thus, not recommended for gaming: Comparison of Laptop Graphics Cards - Notebookcheck.net Tech

Yeah I agree the graphics card isn't that great, I actually regret buying it now. But I'm talking small games here that have standard requirements. Plus I own another laptop with the same graphics card and ram and it runs fine there. Lastly why is it that the game runs smooth for the first 20 minutes or so if the graphics card isn't capable.

The 20 minute limit would suggest heat. Can you get a laptop cooling pad?

Yeah I guess that makes sense. Perhaps I should just get one. Just thought maybe it was a driver issue or a setup issue. Thanks a lot. Much appreciated.
