    Actually, it didn't remove the icons on my desktop. But what did was right clicking on my desktop, focusing on "View", and unchecking "Show Desktop Icons".

    Thank you very much for that, I knew you could have a toolbar with your desktop icons, but I never thought it would be useful for that. :)
