Suggest some games for my PC

I just wanna get some suggestions for games that would run in my specs. I've been finding games that I could play but only found few. The Intel GMA 3100 Integrated Graphics that I'm using is what gives me headaches, whenever I try systemrequirementslab's Can You Run It, I've been passing every specifications except for the graphics card. I can't afford to buy a dedicated graphics card anytime soon so I have to settle for this crap for a little while. Some games that I've been able to play are NBA Live 08, Sims 2 Double Deluxe, Warcraft III, RA2, AoE II, and NFS: MW.

If you could give me some suggestions I would really appreciate it. I don't care if the game is old as long as it's a good one. :D

You don't wanna know
game list from Intel

don't expect any miracles because gaming with integrated graphics is usually very poor even at low details and low resolution

I would suggest trying out any available demos first for any games you are interested in to see if they are playable on your computer before spending any money

Sorry but that games list from Intel is a bit of a joke, you would be lucky to run even half that list on all low/off and at the lowest resolution supported by the game and even them it likely wouldn't be playable. To give an idea here is a list of games on the laptop equivalent of the 3100,

Grand Theft Auto 3 and 4 is good. Don't prefer Vice City - not too good at all.
Since your specs are decent - GTA 4 may not run well on your computer, but GTA 3 will.

my advice is to head over to steam or live marketplace, and stock pile some demos. If it runs at a playable level, and is something you like, then grab it. That will be your best bet, in not wasting money on a game that wont be playable. (i got the shaft on Team Fortress 2... live and learn :D)

* there are hundreds of gaming sites that offer demos/trials. so there's a wide variety of games to check out.

You would be very wise to listen to this advice. And as I tell people all the time, ignore the "minimum" system requirements and look at the "recommended" system requirements as the minimum requirements for the game in question.

The "minimum" system requirements says the game will install and "might" run with all the visual settings at low or off.

Hi Lynyrd47,

As already stated, you really do need a dedicated GPU for most games.
But that doesnt mean you need to spend a fortune on a high End or Enthusiast card either.

A card like the ATI one is only $50.
Newegg.com - PowerColor AX4650 1GBK3-H Radeon HD 4650 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

I know it is a couple generations old, but do not let that sway you.
For the price, it still offers very good performance, and especially at the resolution you have listed in your specs.

At 1024x768, this little card should be able to run most games at fairly high settings even.
It would make a considerable difference in what Games you can play, and the overall quality of them.
Another good point is that it draws power from the PCI slot, and doesnt require that much. So your current Power Supply should be fine with it.

There are other options,, of course, but this is certainly one worth considering IMHO.
