Will gaming kill my computer? Hey, Ive been wondering if I play games too much on my computer if it will get ruined.. My parents seem to think so but I dont agree with them.
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
HP
AMD ATHLON (tm) II X2 220 Processor 2.8 Ghz
6 gb ram (5.75 usable)
Ati Radeon Hd 4200
I dont play high fps/hard core games because my graphics card cant handle it,
but I do play half-life 2 and Burnout Paradise and sometimes Soldier Front (no lag in all 3). So what do you guys think ? | My System Specs |

I lol'd. Your parents are trolling you. Play whatever you want, when you want it. Games will have no effect on your hardware, unless you're straining it too hard (in which case you won't play anyway, because no one can stand very low FPS), and even the only problem that can only arise is overheating IF your cooling is bad.
But before you consider all these, I'd say it's time for a prank on your parents. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x86 CPU Intel Pentium P6100 Motherboard Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Memory 3 GB DDR3 Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GT 420M |

When I was in High School I had a friend whose parents convinced him that turning his stereo up too loud would blow out the speakers. My after-school job was as a stereo salesman so I looked up his specs. 50W amp and 150W speakers.
I wasn't too welcome in their home after that... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self OS Main - Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-Bit; 2nd - Windows Server 2008 R2 CPU Main - Core i7 2600K; 2nd - Core i7 920 Motherboard Main - Asus P8Z68-V Pro/Gen3; 2nd - Gigabyte GA-EX58-UDR3 Memory Main - 16GB Corsair Vengeance; 2nd - 12GB Corsair Vengeance Graphics Card Main - XFX Radeon 6870 1GB; 2nd - XFX Radeon 4870 1GB Sound Card Both: Onboard Realtek Azalia Monitor(s) Displays Main - Hann 25" + I-INC 25" + Acer 23"; 2nd - Upgrading Soon Screen Resolution Main - 1920x1080 (All Three Monitors); 2nd - Upgrading Soon Keyboard Main - Razer Reclusa; 2nd - Old MS Keyboard Mouse Main - Logitech MX Revolution; 2nd - Old MS Mouse PSU Main - OCZ 600W Modular; 2nd - OCZ 600W Case Main - Thermaltake Element G; 2nd - NZXT something or other Cooling Main - Corsair H80; 2nd - Prolimatech Megahalems Hard Drives Main - (1) Crucial M4 128GB (Boot)
