Windows 7: windows xp mode

windows 7 home premium 64 bit.
 
 
windows xp mode

i have windows 7 professional and some games require windows xp or vista so i want to know if i download Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC could help fix the problem?

You can simply right click the game that you want to run, and go to the Compatibility Tab and go down to the dropdown box. Find Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and chose that. Then hit apply or OK. Then try running it.

Games do not work well in Virtual XP. I would try the compatibility assistant first.

So far, all of my old FPS games have installed perfectly with Win 7 Ultimate 64 bits. The only one that game me a problem was MoHAA and it was mouse related and I was able to fix it with game booster.

Just note you want to do it to the actual game executable file and not the shortcut. I've not had any issues with the exception of darkstar one which will not install on win 7 because it uses tages protection which involves a driver win 7 won't recognize.
