Windows 7: The Neverhood

hello
guys please i love the game so much...I've installed it and everything went just fine, it starts and all but with real bad colors (photo attached) almost see nothing
I've also tried all compatibility modes for all windows (95, vista SP1, XP...all) but nothing changed.
what i can possibly do??

the game is too old, archaic at best.
i would know... oldies are usually the good ones. the only thing i could possibly tell you, is to install windows xp on another drive or partition, other than that, i dont think theres anything you can do to run that game.

Looking into this I have found it doesn't require too much horse power to run. This maybe one of those rare games that can work in the Virtual XP download the MS is supplying.

Have you tried setting your desktop colors to 16bit? And one more thing comes to my mind is Dosbox but I don't know if it works in Windows 7

Forget dosbox, my mistake. It is for playing dos based games, NH runs in w95. There is a patch for running NH in XP by the way if you searched the web, I recall using it when I played it in XP.
I installed NH to give it a try but same here, can't run correctly.

yeah i do have the XP patch put it's useless with 7
So we can say that nothing will work????????

Neverhood Windows 7 Color Fix

This patch corrects a common mistake when playing on operating systems, Vista and Windows 7 - incorrect display of colors.

How To:
1) Unzip the file "WAVistaWin7.exe" from the archive to the game directory (for example, "*: \ Program Files (x86) \ DreamWorks Interactive \ Neverhood").
2) Rename the "nhc.exe" in "wa.exe" (located in the directory the game).
3) Right-click on the "wa.exe and select" Properties.
4) Click the "Compatibility".
5) Put a checkmark in "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows 95".
6) Put a checkmark in "Use 256 colors.
7) Click "Ok" to close the Properties window.
8) Always run the game through "WAVistaWin7.exe"!

Tested by myself on Windows 7 64-bit
