I'm just not ready to be that heavily invested in a product I guess. A xbox does what it is supposed to do and is great for it's price bracket.
Expecting it to be on par with a pc that was built with the highest components available 2 days ago. Is just ridiculous though.

Anyhow, back on topic. I'm very impressed with how crytek has decided to handle this. EA, as they always do are just screaming piracy, and will more than likely tout the game as a horrible failure due to piracy to help support their position of ever increasing drm and copyright law.
It could beat out the sims as the top selling game of all time and they'd still be screaming piracy at the end of the day. So I don't really care about their opinion.

Crytek seems to be very positive about the whole thing and at this point is actually almost considering it a positive thing.

In the end the leak was caused by an employee, and not pirates hacking in and stealing a copy as seems to be the thought in many circles online. So the only people to blame for the leak is themselves anyhow.

I don't have an xbox, play station, PS2 yada yada yada. My attitude is if I can't play it on my PC I'll never play it. When PC's get to the point where we can't play games that's when I stop playing computer games.

That's me

My primary reason for preferring pc is I just don't think a hand controller is a good interface for fps games. (mouse & kb ftw) Nor have I ever seen an RTS game that functioned well on a console they just can't allow for a complex enough interface for real fans of the genre.

Now, being said that and after reading a few more replies in here, as naive as I am, I thought this was the actual demo we were getting in a few days or couple of weeks just that someone leaked it earlies... but if it is a crap demo, I rather not go through the hassle.

I wouldn't put it pass them, perhaps another marketing ploy to excuse the fact that the port to pc game will be crap.

As I conspiracy theorist, I am liking the fact that I no longer shell out my hard earned money to this A$$Hats but rather wait a few weeks to buy it or pick it up cheap on ebay.

As they should... bad news is good news they say and the fact that is all over the internet should give them some ideas how much people are waiting to play it.

+1 with a little wrinkle... my kids do own a 360 but all the games and stuff they paid out of their own money.

I did play the Original Ghost Recon on the xbox but I can't get used to the controllers with today's game... don't know why

Oh, I just went ahead and Google for Beta links, and the majority of them are for the Xbox 360 so... yeah Freakin PC pirates!
